About Dr. Sean Wharton

Bariatric Specialist

Dr. Wharton graduated from the University of Toronto and the U of T Pharmacy Program in 1992. He then completed his Doctorate in Pharmacy in 1997.
Dr. Wharton completed at the U of T in 2001 and his residency In Internal Medicine at McMaster in 2005. His Interest in ethnicity and medicine led him to the study of hypertension and cardiovascular disease and then to obesity undo the guidance of Dr. Arya Sharma (Canadian Chair in Obesity and Cardiovascular Medicine).

Dr. Wharton has treated hundreds of obese patients at the Hamilton General Hospital Bariatric Clinic and now runs the Wharton Medical clinic in Hamilton , Ontario Canada.
